The following rules and etiquette are to be employed during training sessions to ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants and trainers.
At Hulk MMA & Fitness, we give people of all ages an opportunity to be a part of the excitement. A parent and/or legal guardian however must accompany any child under the age of 18 years on the premises unless an agreement or waiver stating otherwise has been signed.
We request that no shoes are worn in the Octagon, and that people are only allowed to use the Octagon under the guidance of a Hulk MMA & Fitness trainer/ or coach.
There is to be No climbing of the cage walls and both cage doors are to be securely closed before any training commences.
We request that no shoes are worn in the training area. Students under the age of 15 are not allowed to use the raised equipment (i.e. Monkey bars, chin up bars, etc…).
Both the cage and training areas are bare feet only and members are required to wear a clean shirt, singlet or jumper in addition to shorts or training pants at all times.
No offensive markings (wording and/or images) are to be displayed on clothing.
Please wear your Hulk MMA & Fitness Gi for any classes that require a BJJ Gi and see your trainer for any other specific uniform or safety gear needs.
Mouth guards are recommended for all non HulkFit classes and you will not be allowed to participate in any sparring sessions unless you are wearing a mouth guard.
Please remove all jewellery, watches, necklaces, ear rings, bracelets, etc. prior to class commencing.
Please bring your own towel and wipe down equipment after use.
Use of excessive force outside of the gym is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. If you are found using excessive force that is NOT deemed self-defence, your membership will be terminated immediately.
Bullying and/or unnecessarily aggressive behaviour at the gym will NOT be tolerated – leave your ego away from the gym.
Please refrain from using vulgar or offensive language at the gym.
Be punctual to class – if you’re late for class you may not able to participate so please arrive at least 5 minutes before class commencement.
Do NOT be disruptive during class. No talking while the trainer is giving instruction and do not leave class without first being excused by the trainer.
Have respect for the gym, your trainer and for your fellow students.
If your training partner “taps” or says “STOP”, stop immediately.
If you are injured, sick or are bleeding in or prior to class inform your trainer immediately.
Always pay attention to your surroundings – be mindful of the space you’re in and the training partners around you.
If you’re continually disruptive during class, you will be asked to leave the training area and may result in a suspension.
Training is only permitted on the matted training area or in the Octagon under the guidance of a Hulk MMA & Fitness trainer/ or coach.
All equipment required for class is supplied but please feel free to bring your own training gloves.
If equipment is faulty or has defects, notify your trainer immediately.
Lost Property will be kept for a maximum of 2 weeks and then it will be given to a local charity so please check with us at reception if you have lost something.
Food and Drinks
Food is not permitted at all.
You may carry beverages in covered plastic containers only during your workout; no glass containers are permitted in the gym. Please properly dispose of all drinking containers and refuse in the trash receptacles.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises or grounds.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages before using the gym facilities.
